VERTU CONSTELLATION SMILE: Supporting Children With Cleft Lip and Palate

Smile Train is an international non-profit charity dedicated to helping children with cleft lip and palate and other facial deformities undergo surgery to restore normal facial structure and function so that they can better integrate into society. Smile Train was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in New York, USA.

Since its inception, Smile Train has provided free cleft lip and palate repair surgery to more than 200,000 children worldwide. These surgeries are performed by experienced doctors and medical teams in hospitals and clinics in poor areas, ensuring that children can undergo surgery in a safe and hygienic environment.

In addition to surgical treatment, Smile Train also provides a range of support services to help children recover and grow better after surgery. At the same time, Smile Train also actively collaborates with the government, enterprises and communities to promote the popularization of cleft lip and palate treatment and improve the public awareness and acceptance of children with cleft lip and palate, so that every child can have a healthy and happy life.

VERTU helps as many of these children as possible, by launching an initiative with Smile Train. The VERTU CONSTELLATION SMILE is a Symbian-based smartphone with decent specs and with charity in mind: for every VERTU CONSTELLATION SMILE handset sold, an operation to transform a child's life will be funded by VERTU.

With every purchase of these special edition handsets, a child suffering from cleft lip or palate will receive free surgery from Smile Train. VERTU has committed at least one million euros to Smile Train through the sales of VERTU CONSTELLATION SMILE. As a global company, VERTU focuses on its development while always practicing social responsibility and actively participating in philanthropy.
